Default My nuts keep falling off

My wheel nuts keep falling off one after one on my SCION TC, I'm considering to buy some extra wheels which usually comes with some extrawheel nuts. I bought drifting wheels but I'm usually using stock wheels because its pretty hard to control on the drifting wheels. BTW, my chassis is REALLY low to the ground; how can I heighten it?

While your at RS, go the the hardware and lights section and pick up some metal wheel nuts. They never break!

superinfinity is correct. Metal locknuts are the way to go! For me personally, I use aluminum locknuts with nylon inserts. The nylon inserts help to prevent your nuts from loosening!

every once and a while i'm drifting with my metal nuts and all of a sudden, my car just stops drifting and turns all weird. I pick up the car and a tire is missing. It happens sometimes to people without nylon inserts

Yeah but I also asked, my chassis is too low to the ground to be safe, is there anyway to heighten it, its like 2 millimeters from the ground, and theres a fewsuspension screws thats sticking like 1 millimeter from the ground. I can't screw it in anymore.

lol, the title of this thread like oddly caught my attention...definitely read it too fast lol.... anyways, for your body, go to RS and buy the suspension upgrade kit, and use some stronger springs, probably medium or hard, sounds like either your springs are too soft for some reason, or thats just how low the tcs chassis is... (wouldnt kno, i dont own one but im looking for one)

The Scion is kind of weird, the body sits high on the chassis but the chassis is scraping the ground. Get that racing kit that raises your car, also get the suspension upgrade and put the stiff springs on it. Plus, the drifting tires are super thin, that makes a big difference too. The Scion body kit is on sale for like $5 and it comes with the bigger than stock wheels, that'll raise it up some more too.

Where are these aluminum nuts with nylon from? Do they have them at RS too?

no, you have to get them online or at a hobby shop. There are several different companies out there that make them. I have them from both Kyosho and HPI and they work great, expensive though

OK I got this from the suggestion made to me, but I can't find anything else that would help.

I dont think I can find the scion body kit at a local radioshack, any other things to heighten it up, its dangerously low and I dont wanna wreck the bottom of this babe.
