Default truck wheel mods

the 1st tire was made using g-35 rims

the 2nd i used truck rims ...but used the cap ( which pops in and out) from the original tire rim and painted it black.

the 3rd is obviously the RS 4x4 tire...added for comparison.

both sets of tires came from $5 rcs at dollar general.

to help focus your camera when taking up close pictures, you should turn on MACRO its a setting thats on pretty much all digital cameras and makes a picture taken up close not blury and very detailed

i locked the rear and front differentials but surprisingly is has a pretty good turn radius for having such wide tires. i sunk the stock truck rims even further into the modded rim lastnight to bring them in closer to the truck.

did you have to do any modification to the tires or wheels in the middle to get them to fit?

on both sets i had to cut the inside of the original wheel well to fit whatever rim i was using. i saw a tut or something about it in another thread on this forum and just experimented with it.

the 2nd set...the wheels are so wide that i had to keep the xmod rims more inside. which was cool because again i just used the rims that were on the tire originally. they have little clips and come off and on with little work.

well, then why not move EVERY thread to the appearance section?!? Tires do a lot more than just make a truck look cool. he is changing the diameter of the tires by a decent amount, and this is technically a modification...

So many people post stupid beginner questions in the modification section that never get moved. This should've stayed.

Oh, you wanted your own post moved?!? OK, well, that's fine. This is still a good enough thread to be in the mod section - unlike half the "how do I install this radio shack AWD kit" questions... It's technically a mod, but not a custom one.
