Default Scion TC: Worth it??

I know when they first came out there were a lot of complaints about how the body parts fit and such.

I was thinking about picking one up cause they're on sale and was wondering if it's worth it. Has anyone who has bought a TC recently had any sort of trouble with it?

Any help would be great...I'm thinkin about picking it up tomorrow.

Eh my girl got mine a few days ago and really the only problem I had with it was the wheels bending inwards like /---\ but I think thats a common problem with most stock xmods you can get the metal bearings to fix it.

I got the body kit and stuff, everything fits fine its a pretty good car.

either 29.99 or 39.99....i can't remember. It looks a lot different in real life than in pics; my radioshack has one out on display and it's a cool little car. But I've read a lot about when they first came out how body pieces didn't fit right and stuff...so I was seeing if anyone had bought one recently and if it was worth buying.

my friend had a tC... on top of being ugly they are slow... he scraped a curb and boom the chassis was broke. the car wouldn't drive any more. it had no range, with new batts it wouldn't even turn on. IMO they are a P.O.S.

Thanks for the info! My dad has the new Mustang Xmod and the battery pack hangs so low that he can hardly drive it anywhere. I like the way it looks though...other than the color.

Did your friend have trouble with the body pieces fitting incorrectly?

So one breaks they all suck? The range on mine is fine, I have yet to have any problems with that. As for the scion out of the box I dont think its that bad but its way better with upgrades. How are you going to say they are slow, all the evos come with the same engine and roughly same weight...I was suprised at how fast mine was out of the box.

There aren't any body fit issues...I thought my body kit wasnt going to fit correctly until I figured it was way easier to take off the sides first =]

If you do get the tC dont have any worries. They might not be like the Gen 1's or anything but hell I just got into this and its workin fine for me.

Well I went shopping this morning and decided against getting it because the guy at radioshack said that over half of all their returned Xmods were the TC model. Plus the only TC they had in stock was all scratched up. Maybe I'll wait till they go on clearance or visit ebay and add to my gen 1 collection
