that is the original bumble bee. just to disprove your point that it's worth millions, the K.I.T.T car from Knight rider only brought in 150K and is just as popular (if not more then) a single transformers car. the only reason that it is going for 30K is the fact that it's a movie prop. a 77' camaro would need to be in prestine condition and have a blown motor (basically a Pro Street conversion) to pull 30K from an auction. in all actuallity, that 305 is junk. there is hardly anything there that is aftermarket other then the valve covers, plug wires and air cleaner. even the intake manifold is stock.(notice the offset thermosat housing)

id pay 30g for it. i mean it was the autobots logo on the steering wheel. yea rite. lol. if they sold the other bumblebee from the movie (the 09), id buy it.
and i get it, i havnt seen the movie so im gonna ask. how is it that bumblebee is a 77 and then an 09. does it grow up or somethin? ive never paid attention to transformers so sorry if thats a dumb question. edit - haha i just read about it and the 08/09 bumblebee isnt really a camaro. its an 06 Pontiac GTO by Saleen (hmm... i thought pontiac made the pontiac GTO.. lol) with a GM R&D Mold (the same type used in the real 08/09 Camaro Concept) on top of it.

IMO, if I were to pay anywhere around that price for a classic car, I'd save up another 10 or 20 thousand and get myself a nicely restored 1970 Plymouth Road Runner... Really though, that Camaro body-style isn't that sought after, it shouldn't be that expensive. Around $20-25 thousand would get you one in pretty good condition (much better condition than that) But just like Initial D and F&F 'taxes', the price goes up dramatically. Before you could get a 1983-1987 RWD AE86 for less than $1000, now you'd be lucky to find one at $5000 with only a few holes in the floor pan... |
