why do you close the older threads? i noticed the pic thread closed.....thats the type of thread that people would be adding to for the life of the forum. why close it?

they close threads because old threads just take up space and people dig them out and just say something random to increase their post count...on the case of the pic thread...i dunno why they closed it.

agreed 100%.
i think closing old topics is pointless to begin with unless the original poster is no longer active.

i mean hell, if this is the case then you might as well just delete everything after the first page.
i mean, what if someone sees a particular modification and has a legitimate question about it? they cant put it in the thread because the thread is over a month old. and a pm wouldnt offer the answer to the question to the rest of the members.
i say the mods should get off their ***** and start watching the pointless posts and not worry about how old a topic is.(just my opinion )
now, before you start getting defensive. i moderate a forum that doesnt lock old topics and we havnt had a single problem with it yet.
the moderators talk to each other daily and we take the problem to the source.

I can't speak for the other mods....but I only do something if it was resurrected for a stupid post. if it's a legit question, I leave it...but there have only been a couple cases where that was true.

My "Xmod Neons" Thread was closed for no reason.. I made another one and it has been left open.. What was the point in Closing it in the first place?
