Default My tires...

ok...so i have lifted my F-150 body, i installed some custom off-road tires, it runs, but when i turn or contract my front suspension, the tires rub on the battery tray. what do i do to avoid that? do i trim the tray with my dremel tool? i like my tires and really don't want to get rid of them. and please don't ask for pics. my camera lens broke when i slammed into it recording my r/c viper doing about 50mph. i haven't bought a new one yet.

yeah, just move the battery tray back (there are little screws by the on/off switch, just unscrew em and slide the pack back.) Hope that helps

omg. my tires aren't that big. that's too much work. i don't want to turn this thing into a cooco(monster). i just want some bigger tires that's all.

these are the tires. they rub when i turn in the front!

I'm having to take the batt tray off my hummer and put it on TOP of the electronics, inside the truck. Then I'm trimming the edges that still rub. But my tires are huge.

the thing with that is that i don't know what i have to trim. the circuit board is in the way of removing the rest by trimming. i understand i have to move the tray, but what about the rest???

i had to move my tray to the top of the board as well but after fitting my bigger air filled tires, im having to go to the extreme. yet another transformation of the modster hummer. (keep an eye on my thread in the next couple days)
your tires look to be about the same size as the first tires i had on mine.
after i moved the batt tray i had to trim the corners of the esc housing and tuck the servo wires along the board.
it gave me a good bit more radius but it still wasnt enough.
to trim the housing, take off the top, mark where the board is sitting with a fine tip felt pen, remove the board and trim away until you hit the mark where the board starts. basically your just taking off the corners.
then use some of the flat plastic that the upgrades come in and glue em over the holes to keep the junk out.

good luck and happy modding
bondo

you know something, from all the posts i've seen you post, you seem to be a very grim and dull person. i think your outlook on life is a bit drab. you don't seem to be very happy. maybe i'm just a bad judge of character, but you don't sound too happy when you post things.
