Default f-150 project

I am goin to start a f-150 paint projetct. I am thinkin about painting it viper red with black racing stripes.

What do u think about the color scheme.

Ill post pics as i go

r u gonna use a sticker for the stripes or paint it on? if ur gonna paint it, its gonna be hard so i would recommend using a sticker of some sort of making 1

well stickers are ok if ur not sure about how to paint it but it looks better with paint

paint it the color you want the stripes let it dry a couple days, the put tape on for stripes and paint it black, then pull the tape off slowly

a couple days?? haha no man more like 24 hours some times even 12 hours..read the can it will tell you how long after you lay the paint you can sand it...thats when you can lay tape

Drying times are various depending on the type of paint. Enamel, Acrylic etc. In addition weather temp's and humidity should be considered. Dupli-Color automotive cans are also good with fast dry times, hard finishes and fine mists. Not a huge fan of stickers either.

You could paint the stripes like auto detail shops do. If ya you are going to have silver stripes then you should spray with a silver base. Mask off your stipes then spray over with your body color, after its dried then ya just peel off the mask.

Oh wait forget what I said, ford red neck beat me to it.
