Default Wiring LED's for 12 Volts..

Okay, not for an xmod, but I know people here will know somestuff about it. I'm gonna be running six LED's (specs posted below) to replace the Dome light light.

I need some help figure out what resistors to use, or if running an extra LED would do it. Like either 3 LED's and a resistor in series, then one more set in parralel; or two in series with some resistor, and two more sets in parralel.

The diagram below is kinda what I'm after, but he used diffrent LED's, that's why I'm asking.

LED Specs:
Ultra Bright 10mm Red LED
FW Current: 20mA
FW Supply 2.4v max

Any ideas?
Thanks.

EDIT:
Actually, I have room to run nine LED's. I'll get a resistance reading for the indivual LED's in a little bit. Or would it work if I ran them like in the above diagram?

here is your best freind for wiring LED's.
http://led.linear1.org/led.wiz

type in your source voltage, forward voltage, forward current, number of diodes and select wich type of layout you would like(schematic,ASCII or wiregram) and your good to go.
it will even help you with color codes for the resistors.

you can also bypass single resistors by using a voltage regulator/limiter.

OR you can take ALL of the guesswork out of the equasion by simply getting a replacment LED module.

cheers,
Thanks for the link.

I'm not really into the replacement module. It's not as cool and you don't get the same results as yo uwould want.

i think you would be pleasantly suprised at how bright they are.
i had a 9 diode festoon and 2x 12VDC's under the dash in my camaro for a bit and it lit up the whole passenger compartment and some of the boot so i know it would be bright in your little CRX

I have a LED strip with 6 LEDs above were your feet are, not bright enough. I'm rigging up neon bars when I get some alluminum and another neon bar. This is just the icing on the cake.

The I have it about to be glued and soldered now. Two strips of 3 LED's in parallel with a 330ohm resistor in each. Just need to find some wire and my iron and I'm good.
