Default 1:18 Diecast cars

Does anyone else collect 1:18 scale diecast cars I for some reason just thought of this just a few minutes ago and was just wondering. I have a huge collection that I have been collecting since I was like 5 years old (turned 19 on the 20th). My collection has a total of over 130 of these diecast cars, they literally go all around my room and up and down my walls. I just got three more for my birthday, two of them are probably one of my favorites too. One is a 1969 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am orange with two black racing stripes, the other a 1978 Dodge Warlock stepside black with gold pinstriping. Plus my woods project I am making is a display cabinet for some of the cars that don't have boxes, that to is really cool made it out of wallnut. I'll try to get some pictures but my computers super slow (emachines crapiest computer, plus dialup ). Just wondering

Holy ****. $200? I'm going to find your house and rob you Got any pics?\

I got some 1:18's about 10. Some of them are crappy Maisto Special Edition ones. Others are from Hot wheels, F&F, Masito Playerz. I got some 1:24 ones too. Wont get into them since this is a 1:18 scale thread.

Wow nice collection, couldn't help but notice some of the cars you got that I got. Especially the '86 SVO, Viper, 40's Ford Coupe, Cobra, '67 Shelby GT500, ect. Really want your '69 Shelby GT500 yellow or the California Special red in box, want one of those so bad. Honestly thought that I was the only person that went all gungho on the 1:18 especially with 130+ of them.

Are those the one where they are very detailed? Like the seat belts are actually made of fabrique or the motors have actual wires and so on, the carpet like real carpet? Just on smaller scale of course. I want some of the 1:18 cars I just don't really have the extra $ to buy those plus I've been spending to much on Xmod stuff LOL.

Ya don't really think though that many people get anymore than like ten thats all that my cousin has to. To be honest I have quite a few Maisto 1:18 to, not best of quality but make some cool cars hey cheap to. I never got into the 1:24 people gave them to me but they just never fasinated me.

Yeah it has motor wires and all that and its very detailed...

The coolest part, even the door hinges are relpicated to be smaller scale versions of what was on the car...

My favorite is a 1970 dodge charger...

Did you here anything about southeastern MN and southwestern WI having massive flooding last August? Well a guy my grandma works with or knows HAD a basement full of those 1:18 cars each worth like $100+ they all went through the flood waters. I don't know if he cleaned them or what but I was just disgusted when she told me that. Someday I hope to buy some of those cars. The flood waters go right in front of our house, it's a big ditch (last pic behind the swing set on the right of the pic, filled with rocks). Didn't get any flood damage though cuz the water was really fast that night didn't go over the banks.

I think the most detailed one that I have is a 1956 Lincoln Mark II (3rd pic top car 2nd row from right white) made by Road Legends. It has like felt floors and trunk area, real hinges on the doors and the hood, plus the windows go up and down, you just pull them up then push them down it's cool.

I never really got into collecting the smaller scale cars like the 1:24 or 1:32 but I do have a lot of 1:64 (Hotwheels). I don't think I will ever stop collecting the 1:18 scale cars. Just because I have so many right now and I want to see how many I will be able to have in my collection. I did get another for my collection it is a red 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo got it for $5. Turns out the car came from another large collection but the man passed away so a family member was selling all of them because they just couldn't house all of them.

Pretty much all of my cars in the boxes have been opened but a few haven't been opened like my General Lee, '62 vette, '69 GTO, '69 GTO Judge, '65 GTO Convertable, '69 Superbird, '70 Boss 429, Viper GT2, and my '78 Dodge Warlock. So I've pretty much opened all of them but there are a few that are never opened and a bunch more only opened once or twice.
