Unhappy Issues with HS-55 Servo

So I decided to keep the HS-55 servo I have in my crawler, but just recently I was out crawling and for the first time I had drained my new Nimh batteries. It seems that from that point on, my servo was moving extremely slow. I'm talking there-must-be-a-problem slow.

At first I tried recharging the batteries. Then I got a new set of Nimh. Then I tried Alkaline. Nothing was working. I thought there might be short so went ahead and got another HS-55 to do the winch mod while I was rewiring everything. So I redid all of my connections and cleaned everything up and it still moves problematically slow.

The servo on the winch moves faster (like the old speed) which leads me to think there is something wrong with that particular servo. Can anyone offer me any advice. I'm really hoping I didn't somehow burn out the motor in servo because I can't afford to keep buying servos as they die over time. Thanks in advance.
