Default Thinking of Buying an Xmods

I'm thinking of buying an Xmods car, but at the same time, I have an R/C car I need to complete, this R/C car of mine it an AE RC10B4, more highend than an Xmod, what should I do, complete my car or finish it later and buy an Xmods?

Here's a pic of my car a year ago:

Yeah, the only reason why I'm wanting an Xmod is because it's gonna take me forever with my $7CAD a day allowance to finish it. So to keep my boredom from causing me to go berserk I want something toy around with. But I might get side tracked by hoping up the Xmods instrad of my B4! lol!

The only problem with finishing it is that you'll never get what you put into it. I say finish it, drive it, then part it out.

Never get what I put in it?? explain plz. The thing is, these cars give you a billion times more what Xmods give you, but only fun if you've a large area to run... So explain that last message please!

----------------------------------

Here guys, let's see if my EngRish skills are up to the task. Drew man, you REALLY need to learn some spelling and grammar. Alright, here I go:

"Like Viperdout said, you won't get what you put into them. I sold my B3 with a p2k2 pro motor, a LRP IPC V7.1 digital ESC, and JR XS3 with an RS310 receiver (the one that features the crystal-less design allowing you to choose a channel instead of changing crystals). I sold it all with 2 bodies for $185. The controller costs $200 itself. That's sad, but I was too lazy to part it out."

What I mean is that when you go to sell it, you'll end up down a couple bucks compared to what you spent. The sum of the parts all together will be more than what you can get when you sell it.

Yeha, but do you actually think that I'll be thinking about selling my first "hobby-class" R/C car?? I've ran Nikko's Digital Proportional R/C's before, but since the B4 is the first "good quality" car I've owned. I've got 0.0001% intention of selling it now. Or selling it later. Besides, I never sell my stuff, I just leave it in my room and don't touch it!

I'd stick to the RC10 if I were you. Sure, an Xmod is 50 bucks, but that non-modified "toy" is going to get boring, fast. Then you'll be wanting to put upgrades in it to make it go faster, and faster, etc. You can make it go kinda fast for a little over 50 extra dollars, really fast for $50-100 more, and phenomenally fast for another $200+ after that. It adds up in any hobby. I've dropped about 4 bones in my Xmod and I think I have the fastest one I've currently seen...

If that's so, build it up and don't worry.
