Hey guys, I just bought this RC18 package from a guy on URC. It was $225 shipped for everything.

i am going to sell the LiPos as soon as i get them(please keep b/s/t chat away from this thread, im just saying what i'm going to most probably do)
It looks like it is a good car and has been kept VERY clean.
i need some 1/18th battery suggestions(non-LiPo) for this, i want something thats gonna last me more than just a few months, i want something to last me years...(not driving time, the time i actual have the battery). I know the "Hi-Energy" is a good brand for 1/10 batteries, but maybe its not good for 1/18th? im not sure, but please suggest any you have.
im hoping to get it around next Tuesday or Wednesday, not sure what he is shipping with, but it is stand shipping for its usually 3-7 business days .

Well im entering in the BYT Fastest 1/16-1/18 scale Off-Road Competetion:
Simple Version of the Rules:
Must be an Off-Road Platform.. nothing like a MRS4 or similar to that..
Test can be done on-road
You may use foams.. now here are some more recent pix of this beast
I did buy a LiPo Charger.. and 2 more LiPo batteries













i do need to rebuild my front shocks... they were leaking.. i also have a couple things on the way from www.thetoyz.com

i made a small vid of running my rc18.. then realized i hadn't charged my batts.. then after that.. batt's died
(BTW: this is with my f-ed up servo.. it always gets stuck when i turn right and i need to wiggle the steering for it to center again.. if anyone has one they can send, PM me )
im running.. well almost dead then dead 3s lipos from hobby people (hobby people brand)

another update:
Was drving today with my bro, and we were having fun til he car stopped, we had only driven for about 5-10 mins, and his car went into thermal shutdown! never happened before, he has my old rc18, but now with the reedy 9500kv motor/esc combo, if anyone knows why this could have happened, please help,
then toward the 15 min mark, i kinda spun out going down my hill and when straight into the wall. Damage Results:












what's cracked/dead/bent/broken/lost: (in no specific order)
The hinge pin that holds the rear c hub in place(lost)
the hole the hindg pin goes into(cracked and aka: useless, it just pops back out)
5 body clips(lost from flipping)
wheelie bar wheel protectors(bent)
my body(its dying)
now this is my bro's car, again if u know why it would have gone into thermal shutdown please help, he has driven it harder and faster than before, and today was a pretty cold day outside

was bored... so i decided to name this the pro version of the 1/10 traxxas summit.. cause the summit fails at a crawler.. and this does too... well.. kinda... at least this gets a shiz load of torque, unlike the summit which comes with the 12t titan (CLEARLY NOT A MOTOR WITH A BUNCH OF TORQUE) lol

if something does happen *Knocks on wood* (hoping it doesnt) then i just pull the outself plug from the charger.. take the pan and run outside and chug it into the street.. i think its worth losing a $130 charger rather than losing your life or your house
