Question about Radioshack upgrades...

I was wandering if I could go to radioshack and get them to order me just one part of a certain upgrade. For example, buying just the gray shocks http://www.ministryofgadgets.com/***...large/1470.jpg out of the Gen.1 suspension upgrade kit. I figure that you should be able to since you can go and buy a part (such as a mirror, etc.) that comes in the starter kit. thanks

i just started working there so im not sure... but you should be able to on all EVO chassis parts... we dont sell any GEN1 parts any more.

yes gen1 has been retired for some time now man, your best luck is to order the whole kit online or find someone in your area who isnt using them.

Doesn't the Shack have a parts catalog that you can order stock and individual pieces from?

oh ye we do, check out your local radio shack....you will have to look it up in your city's directories but they are here not many considering radio shack is the slowest coming to canada ive ever seen(they used to be here remember guys), evo's have been out for awhle in canada, just look for a radio shack its the only way other then ordering online that you will get one,i live in edmonton and i got one. but be ready to pay a price though they run like 49.99-59.99 for evos that just the starter kit man depends on what kit you get.

ya in toronto they arent even called radio shack anymore, they are called the source by curcuit city.

no no no man thats by curcuit city that not a rs or anything to do with rs we have those here too they will only sell gen1's till they dont have em in stock then they will carry no xmods at all. you have to LOOK FOR THEM! they are there! but very hidden and small, we have about 2 in edmonton and i had to search local chat crap for them. but they are here man dont lose faith go to all the malls and look for em you will find one dont worry. see my avitar its the g35 evo at rs in edm and the skyline gen1 at cc in edm. you will probably only find one in the whole city even but they are coming back slowly.......

I can get a new gen1 for $27 canadian, The source is selling the exact same ones for $60 on sale. I'm gettin another 2 soon. As for Upgrade kits, The source is seling the rest of what they have.. BUY ONE GET ONE FREE!!

So I bought underlighting and AWD for 19.99

Also got the acura RSX body/clip/upgrade kit and the civic upgrade kit for 19.99

Everything is real cheep here. But the stock is dwindeling, cept for the xmods, There's over 150 left out of 200 It's at one of those stores that buy up crap from other stores that wanna get rid of it. I guess the source Sold my buddys company a lot of 200 and now they sell them for like $40 and with my buddys help I get them at cost. $27 each.

But I could just go in ad buy one for $35
u pay shipping, only problem is there's only like 4 or 5 kinds and I don't member what ones but those two arnt in there

there's like a civic black and blue, a skyline, supra, and I don't remmember what else. I can find out if you're interested

yea I was wanting the gray ones because tehy are not all plastic like the ones that NUMBCHUX linked too. The gray ones have a metal rod (don't know what you would call it, but it helps connect the top of the shock to the bottom of the shock). I figure under enough stress the thing would break if it wasn't upgraded to the metal one.

there's no stress exerted on that shaft....I've been running the stock shocks in my cars for years. my WRX get's abused quite heavily too, including drifting on the trampoline (and occasionally flying off the side...).

yep, broke off both side mirrors, and took a chunk out of the front bumper...but the suspension's fine

lol you should make a vid of your car drifting on the trampoline. that would be funny if it fell off too.

i wouldn't buy from atomicmods unless nobody else carries the parts. and you should think about getting billet aluminum shocks instead.
