Wink Cayenne Race Pickup

Hello!

Here a spontaneous project that I attack for some time now and then ...

start objects were rather "craft junk".

Bye!

Thank you!

It comes into standard Rc components with 2.4 Ghz and a Topcad R3 engine.

Have to go on with Chassie, now equipped with awd and ball bearing ...

...the components installed for testing purposes ...

I will also build a SAS system.
Further we go, the rear suspension has been changed a little bit...

Bye!
Richi

Great work on that rear suspension.

Who makes that steering servo you have installed?

Cheers,
Kyle

The front suspension and the SAS are already finished ...

the steering ...

a gimmick ...

The chassis is finished:

A test ride I've done, why it's so dirty.

The rear mount with an encapsulated neodymium magnet:

Now I can go on with the body work

only issue i see is with he suspension geometry. since the top arms are longer thant he bottom arms, as the suspension compresses, you will get positive degree camber, which is detrimental to cornering/handling. you want to look for negative camber, which allows you to retain contact patch during cornering. if you want the correct dynamic geometry, you'll want to shorten those suspension arms till they are shorter than the lower arms. move the arm pivots outwards until the total swing radius is smaller than that of the lower arms. then your suspension geometry will be all good.

besides that, great machine work there. i like the chassis, and would like to inquire about possibly producing a custom chassis that fits standard length xmods?

Hi, thank you.

Now the further development through to completion

primed ...

all the air scoops and air intakes with function

tentatively with spoiler, looks stylish in my opinion

The coarse grinding is done, all the components are not installed yet.

Only thing missing is a another layer of primer, then I can start painting.

From the accessories I chose Civic mirrors, because I think that harmonize with the great line of the car.

Furthermore, the front light are from fiber optic cables.

Except for a few things (window frame, accents, exhaust, clear coat, etc.)
The body is ready ...

the to-do list:
- Racing Grid
- Install lights
- Chassis subtleties change & adjust
- Lower the ride height

Hey,

...finished

The to-do list was done, so he is finally ready.

For quite some time, have been waiting for it is beautiful out there to take pictures.

In the first two pictures you can see the base coat very well. It is
a own mixture and is practically a metallic viollet, over it
then thinly candy black (auto air) and then began the
layer structure with the flames.
