Bondo steps down

I am putting this here because lets face it, this is about the most read section on here. The site was in trouble and Bondo offered to help bring it around with the intention from the beginning for it to be a temporary role. He has now officially stepped down from an Administrative position. The XMS staff has been trimmed as well not due to any problems but due to lack of activity and participation overall. Moderation as of today will remain the same with myself and the genius B1G heading up the staff. We have a very solid team here and we are not looking to expand it any time soon. He came, he saw, he fixed, he won the biggest prize here ever and now it is time for him to move on in his life. Comments will be allowed until this strays like everything else and becomes incomprehensible.

OK - I may be the only one that didn't quite get this :

I get the part of him being Admin and stepping down to just a member now since he's changed this place so drastically (for the Good ) but the other part makes it seems like he's done with Xmods also . If he's done with it then we'll all be loosing one of the most talented painter and xmod customizer that we have seen among the rest, if he's just finish as the admin but will be around continuing his work then we better look out for some more exciting stuff to come from him for sure!

Either way I respect Bman for the work he's done around here and it would be the same without him being around

Bman said he's still gonna build xmods, hes just tired of the headaches of being an admin.

thank you all for all of the kind words.
let me start off by saying that i never really set out to take over this forum.
my main intention was to make some needed changes ACTUALLY happen.
no offence intended but alot of changes were needed(IMO) to make this forum run a bit smoother.
i wanted to see a fair staff that upheld the outlined rules.
i think that the staff that is in place now is more then capable of running a forum smoothly.
much more so then the previous staff.
you'll notice that a few of the senior staff is comprised of past staff members who showed their colors many times over but NEVER had the powers to do anything other then post infractions.
they showed their metal time and time again but never got to shine because of powerhungry fools.l

B1G Dude is your main man now.
Bart is Kanicky to his danny zucco and so on.

all in all, i think that the staff this forum has surpasses all others bar none.
there were alot of great moderators but they started slacking at the wrong time.
i know alot of you might say that the staff was a bit harsh for removing some of them due to the time they put in but the other admins and I reviewed the moderation logs and you would be suprised how many people tell you their here for the long haul but they havnt moderated anything in over a month.

now, as for why i stepped down, it's mainly to do with the fact that alot of you guys were wearing thin on me.
i see the infractions thread that we have setup in the "admin only" section and it just ****es me off. as it should to any "veteran".
alot of us take this pretty seriously and there are a few of us that have helped make this hobby what it is and for the kids to come in and crap all over it,.....hurts.
there's a select few of us that live, breathe and bleed for this hobby and for every one of us, there are 10 noobs ready to crap on our heads.

another thing that helped cement my descision to leave XMS and Team XI is the manner of voting in the COTM's.
that right there **** near made me quit the hobby altogether.
i'm not going to go into a full on rant but IMO alot of the votes are biased towards superficial mods like rims or paint.
half of you dudes arent looking at the time and effort spent, most of the time the votes are cast for a specific body style or a set of rims as opposed to the ammount of work that was involved.
i could go on for days about this and if anyone wants me too,.....i'd be more then happy to...but.......i digress for now.

anyways, i'm still going to be around.
i have alot of parts and projects that need homes but i highly doubt that i'll enter any comps and moderating anymore forums is out of the question.
i feel that this forum has taken a positive 180* turn and i couldnt be more happy about it.
now that these guys have a good firm handle on it with the permissions they should have had in the first place and my life has gotten a bit hectic, moderating forums is just another kick in the nuts that i could do without.

im not leaving the hobby but i would like to thank those who made the descision for me both good and bad and i would like to thank everyone for your continued interest in these little cars and for keeping the hobby alive.

I dont understand, are you saying people should vote on the effort and time put into a car instead of end result.

Im sorry to say, even though your firebird was a marvel of engineering the body and such were off par at what some "noobs" think is cool. If "noobs" dont understand what you went through to get that chassis the way you want, their not going to vote for you.

However im pretty sure thats not the point your trying to make as i dont think thats how you are, I think your trying to say that "noobs" and people in general should vote on the car overall and not just look at the pictures and choose based on body, paint and other easy to modify parts.
