Actually they have been on sale for Black Friday for $10 off, and another time too. They were also indirectly on sale for $15 off.

I wouldn't put anything up on bets for a new line. This sale is probably to get some of them moving off the shelves. Most of them have been sitting for months now, and they need to get things moving a little bit.

Meh I wouldnt bet on a new line of xmods either, interest in xmods have been lacking lately. The ones at my RS have been sitting there for months now, hell the manager there even offered to sell them to me for $25 each to get em moving. BTW mines isnt a corporate one so they can do whatever they want incase anyone is wondering how thats possible.

I'd pay $25 for um. Hell, I would just part them out and make a few bucks on ebay, lol. I could use a new GT-R body for mine

I wouldn't bank on a new line coming out anytime soon with the current state of the economy and the status of the hobby in general. I would imagine that this sale will be the start of a decline in price on the Street series in an attempt to clear out the current stock.

EDIT: Coolcar, would you mind sharing the location of that particular Radio Shack?

I dunno if you know where it is, but its the one off Independence near an exit getting closer to Monroe. Still In Charlotte though.

I might agree.

The RS I visited had a sign stating the "Xmods Micro" cars listed in the sale paper would no longer be supported and they apologized for any inconvenience.

They really set them selves up for the downfall of Xmods because of the limited parts availability and the fact that you can no longer change body parts on them.

There are the guys like us who know where to go for parts, but not every kid out there does.

And not every kid out there is going to be happy with a stock Xmod that has neon lights underneath and AWD. That seems to the only upgrades you can get anywhere anymore.

It's sad, really. They could have made Xmods even better in this new series and made a come back, but instead they cheaped out and now they are losing money because of it. Got to spend money to make money.
