They are JUICY SOFT..... they are very soft and rubbery... Neopreme i believe. I love them, they are the ones that the Canadian guy on ebay makes himself with a mold of the original Aoshima's.

Yes, Go with the beadlocks, and from your description they must be pretty soft lol, the shiny look makes em look hard though. Would you say they are better than the Aoshimas?

Hmmmm, different... these are solid, but the Aoshimas are hollow. So I guess these weigh a bit more, but they fit better on Xmod rims, becasue they stretch and can go on any rim, rather then the Aoshimas that ..in my opinion don't stay on the rims well and I think are ugly on the slammed rims.. These are definatly better for an Xmod in my opinion.

Do you have a link? I didn't know someone was making a replica, which is nice! I vote for the beadlocks. Where did you get the beadlock piece (if you don't mind my asking)?

Go with the beadlock.

I looked at these tires, too. But wasn´t sure about it...

The beadlocks come with the huge hard compound Irok swampers. They are part of the metal rim set. I believe it is also sold seperatly, I'll do a search and see if I can get a link for you, also I'll post a link for the aoshimas from eBay. Like I said in my opinion these are great, since they are made from a mold there are a few bubble he's and a bit of residual on one side... But I don't think it outwieghs the positive of these tires... One side is perfect and the other isn't to noticable, justmount the good side out. Most of all I like the fit to the rimsbetter then the original aoshimas.

I really hope you're not going to use the 18 wheeler cab and front. That's really going to ruin this I feel.

I'm just using it as a starting point. I'm going to cut the front nose off to make it a flat nose, and cut the back of the cab off,,, then styrene and putty to get it looking as close to the tatra as possible. It's the only economical way since I can't find a tatra model or even any flat nose model for less then $35

I see where you're getting at now. Just using the cab as a base? Makes a lot more sense.

From the looks of it, if it was going to be a 4-axle shoooooort wheel base 18wheeler, it'd be all sorts of awkward in my mind.
