Jeez that's a big wing!
Awesome rims though. What rubber do you have wrapping those rims? Cheers, Kyle.

The rims are REALLY nice, When drifting, they really stand out. ATM I have on the front, the stock TT-01 tires. and on the rear, Kyosho soft racing slicks. (Brand new) Although they are getting some ABS tires soon for drifting. Quote:

I got the long pins from a hobby shop in Malaysia. They are easily available and MUCH better than the normal pins.
BTW, I could have gotten a smaller spoiler which was plastic. But that really doesn't help much. The alloy adds a bit weight which helps a LOT. Thanks. Later, T.I.M

Got the alloy installed:
I don't know if any of you noticed, but I removed all the stickers except for on the right side. Just thought it was something out of the box and looks cool when drifting. Removed the paint off the hood: Cut the motha' up: Ready for paint: All comments, suggestions welcome. Later, T.I.M

Got the hood painted
I added a small line of black paint on the headlights: Light buckets back on: I rewired the lights for a cleaner look: Used hot glue to keep the wires on the pillers One of the lights decided to stop working... I think because of the hot glue... Any idea what's about to go here? Pretty obvious. Starts with a D All comments/suggestions are welcome. Later, T.I.M

Thanks. Yup. Wait till you see what's next.... Way to obvious. Yup. Well, I didn't have time to update this thread but I finished the car for now. This car was done for the XMF open class comp. I had to meet the deadline so I worked all night to finish it. Rear diffuser was made form the original spoiler: I had to cut down the spoiler as it was too big: Glued on: Looks half decent IMO. And this is something I had to literally stay up the whole night for. The team XI decal. I was originally going to get a full body vinyl made for the car. But for that I would have to travel 400KM. Lol. No time for that. So I improvised. I purchased a sticker sheet, cut it up to A4 size. And printed a mirror image for TEAM XI using Microsoft Word Art. I will upload pics of that tomorrow as I didn't have time to upload them today. The logo was painted on the left side skirt. I had to obviously remove the paint for that: I worked through the night finishing this car. And got to take pics at sunrise. The finished product with pics better than I ever hoped for The side skirt was painted black, and the logo was done in Fluorescent Green. Which means transparent green. So it's going to get LED's behind it in the near future Mod list: CPV 26mm Alloy rims CPV blue universal swingshafts for TT-01 CPV blue Alloy center shaft for TT-01 Topcad Alloy spoiler Custom body paint Custom hood Custom rear diffuser Custom TEAM XI logo Tamiya TLU-01 Light Kit Green Long hoodpins(No Brand) As far as I recall that's all. This Project is finished for now. All comments suggestions were very much appreciated. Later, T.I.M

Even though you lost a night's sleep, I believe it was worth it. Good luck in the competition!

Didn't win. But that doesn't matter. I enjoyed building it. Well, haven't had time to get on lately. But been really busy. First off. here is how the logo was done: Sprayed black: Removed stencil: Sprayed the fluorescent green: ::: End result: Also I have started to drive this thing now. I am trying to find out in which setup it drifts best. I tried some electrical tape and wow... I was blown away. AMAZING control. It drifted like anything... Electrical Tape FTW!!! I though a video would get some attention.
Got the ABS drift tires: The tires got ****ING stuck on the rime, they wouldn't go all the way So trying to get it off now. For the time being. I mounted another set on the Subby rims: Might NOT shave the extra off. More surface area may be good. Video of the new tires in action soon. Comments/suggestions welcome. Later, T.I.M
