Default Ebay - Me No Likey

I was bidding on a XMODS FairladyZ or in North America, the 350z its called; And these buttwipes put on automatic bidding so everytime I would place a bid, they would outbid me EVERY FRICKEN TIME! This feature ****es me off. Why cant they be their; physically when the auction is about to end, thats what a real auction is about not computers doing everything for you. It just ****es me off that these people rely on these features to bid on something they'll play for a while and throw away probably when somebody like me is dedicated to their hobbies.

There is no "automatic bidding" that I know of on eBay. What you experienced is simply the system itself; The other bidder simply had a higher top bid than each of the bids you were putting in. Nothing odd or wrong about that.

As an example: Somebody else has the high bid of $10 on a xmod, but when he bid he set his maximum bid at $50. Then, You see the auction and decide to bid $15, but you are instantly outbid. You put in another bid for $25, but are outbid again. You try $30 and get another outbid notice- All because the high bidders maximum bid is $50.

The only thing secret about the system is what the high bidders maximum bid is.

Hope this clears things up a bit. Don't worry- those 350Z's pop up pretty regular on eBay.

John

I believe there is this set amount that a user can enter and a bid increase too. When someone bids on a product you want, the automated system bids a slight bit higher (whatever you entered, as a bid increase), it will keep doing that until it hits the limit you set it to (so you don't end up paying $1000 or, say, an xmod).

yep, that same feature is available to you. it just means you didn't set your top bid as high as theirs...

Instead of bidding on a car and causing a headache for urself, why not just buy the body from a place like Xmods International or Atomicmods and slap it on ur existing chassis?

Ah... Sounds good, so I have no need to upgrade it even more, however; Some bodies cant fit on other chassis, Can the lancer and 350z fit on my tc chassis? My mustang 05/06 wont fit on my tc chassis
