Default 180 motor Q.

Can a 180 motor fit in a evo titan and what mods do you have to do? Is there a tut for it?

It CAN fit, but you may experience wheel rub. You can try it, but it's not garentied not to rub.

I'd imagine you could make it work with some minor chassis fixings. Just lift the truck up a bit away from the motor. I have little experience with EVO's, and even less with trucks, so...

it'll fit. the motor is longer than the stock one, so the same mounts can be used, but the rear clip will have to be trimmed to make room.

also, you'll need to shim out the right rear wheel a bit. stock tires (not the ones with the lift) will clear pretty well. anything better will rub a bit.

you're on your own as far as body clearance. I've never had a titan. it cleared on my F150s perfectly fine....but I had to remove the bumper and do a crap load of cutting to get it to fit under my hummer body.

you would need a pinion puller, i tried using pliers of all sorts and other stuff too, but it just wont budge.

best to invest in a GWS pinion puller. It is the safest way (wont damage motor) and it is by far the easiest way to remove a pinion gear off of a gen.1 (brass pinion) motor. I wouldnt suggest using it on a evo motor (plastic pinion), I tried it and damaged the gear. I would highlly recommend investing in the GWS pinion puller, especially if you are planning on doing a lot of custom motor projects

ref. pics of pinion puller that I have and use:

there is a plastic pinion puller that comes with the Evo stage 2 motor upgrade, however it can only pull off plastic gears and not the brass ones. If you need to remove the brass gear, you are going to have to use a pinion puller like the one I posted ealier

the brass pinion we were taking about is the gen 1 motor.'

for evo motors the pinions on stage 1 and 2 are the same, so you can just use whatever they give you to take it off.
