ive done it not a good idea only because you cant really drill into the lights without breaking them off.

it would be cool. but you'd have to find a way to mount the lights, and run the wires, without it looking like crap. I thought about doing it on my chevy...but it would be virtually impossible to not have the back of the LED sticking out of the light, and then the wires running all over the place...

just take a power drill or something and get a bit that is the size of the xmod tool kit big drill and take it slow and go THOUGH it. then just let ur led come tough and just tape the wires down the sides of the light bar. then drill hole in the back of the bed towards the back and put the wires though. EASY!

i was thinking drilling them, then puttin on the model lights like i said, then drilling a hole on the back window so theres less wires to see and then i could just pull then tight, and then you wont really see the wires, and yeah it will be a bit ugly but not as ugly as tots saying

i actually sarted this same mod last wed.
iv been out of town on vacation for the weekend so i havnt gotten it finnished but if you can wait a bit i'll post some pics of my work so far.
ive got most of the problems solved.
the wires on the leds are hardly noticeable and the parts you do see give it a bit more realism.
i tried drilling out the kc lights but like others said it just twisted off....so i used a sandstone bit. works perfectly.
the leds are 4 white and one red(ive also added the third brakelight)
i used the cl set and added 2 white and removed a red.
with this you have to ise your secound outlet...but who is going to put neons AND kc lights on a truck?

i'll try to get pics ASAP.

EDIT:
here are the pics.
i used a mesh screen for a different look but i dont like it so i think im going to go with the regular bar setup.
the light will get hollowed out and lenses will be added.
the heat shrink hasnt been shrunk due to the fact that i havnt tested any of the lights yet, but you can get an idea.

cheers,
bondo
