Help Acid Paste Flux

hey well i just got a new evo board and i need to solder it in thing is that i suck at soldering because the solder goes everywhere so i have 2 questions

1) what does acid paste flux do
2) if it helps solder flow do i apply the flux on where i DONT want solder to go or do i apply it to where i WANT solder to go

oh and i also have another problem i have rosin core solder but the thing is that everytime i melt solder it doesnt go off my solder "wand" (dunno wut else to call it) they say heat up the pad but to how much. also is it easy to burn out wires becuase i just soldered on the wires back onto my servo but i have a slight feeling i burnt one out so help is REALLLLLLLLYYYYY appreciated

NEVER use acid flux or solder on electronics. the acid will eat every thing up, acid flux and solder is for tinning metal parts.

ONLY use rosin core.

how am i supposed to attach my wires than to the circuit board without solder

no lol my post was to contradict your post how can i attach the wires without using solder because youre saying not to use solder on electronics or acid flux

no I said don't use acid core solder.

Only use rosin core solder.
