GO BLACKSKY909!!!!!!!! LETS PWN THIS NOOB! LoL j/k but a v4.... sounds like a lie. now a V8 or V10 or V12 then it will be good but over all of those crappy cars I would go with a Dodge Ram SRT-10 anyday man those have VIPER ENGINES!!!!! V12!!!!! you know the fastest production truck ever made!!!! Never go with a crappy ford truck go with a Dodge!

yea if u can afford the gas...i guess its my brown japanese driving roots coming back to me......u can call them v4's if u want...u still understand what he means...and i wud not get a volkswagen because their parts are harder and more expensive to replace. if u are a college student u need a japanese car with long term reliability

You are all Pwned, but Pepsiboy700 is short of right Subaru uses horizontally opposed engines, so two heads two cylinders on each bank. So you could call it a v, but I don’t think there is any degree of a V. But is not straight 4, it short of like an old beetle engine.

Yea all like em Rices. Which i hate... HATE to work on.
and PLEASE do no put that **** weedwacker Straight pipe on there. Not only do you loose power( of the power you have with a I-4) they sound like crap. Only cars that get a Straight pipe are V-8s and the occasional V-6.

I'm looking for a car to drive, but its not going to have a I-4 ill tell yea that.

get a turbocharged I-4...or the H-4 in case of Subaru WRX STi. I think I-4s are good because although they can be a bit weak, many modern I-4s have >150HP and a decent helping of torque. most of the cars i said have >150 HP except scion and crx. they are also good fuel users...>20mpg...but if money isnt an issue, a V8 sounds good always

MPG is really not an Issue now, with the new 4 cylinder shut off the new 2006 Monte Carlos and Impalas with the 303 HP V-8 have 30 mpg.

im sorry most 4 cylinders get over >25mpg in mostly city driving, even with cylinder deactivation technology in the highway, the small block V8s that chevy impalas use in reality get about 17-22. in highways, 4s get pretty much >30 in real life testing. but besides that...i dont think the price of oil is going to drop significantly, so therefore if u are poor like i am then get a 4 or at max a 6. v8 = big suv, sports car, sedan for rich folks (i like the chrysler hemi v8 tho, and the small block on the chevy corvette)

except the 6-cyls

but yes, all subarus (with the exception of the Justy, which was really a suzuki product) have horizontally opposed engines, also known as boxers...
