Default Chrystals

We have got 2 cars and 2 controlers. I have a older Skyline and a new GTR. They are on the same freq. The older have a chrystal that I can change out. Will this fix the problem? It has a Number 1 on the chrystal. What can number do I need to get to fix the problem. The new GTR does not show a chrystal. It might be hidden. Does anyone know? Sorry for the spelling.

If both of your cars are on the same frequency you need to change the frequency of one of them, you can mod the GTR to have swappable crystals, but if that's too much work than yes getting a new pair for your Skyline would work.

Take a look at this link
http://www.atomicmods.com/Categories...ystal-Fix.aspx
The new Xmods do have crystals, but they're hidden like you said and fixed into the car.

It will say on the car chassis and the remote what freq it is (on the new xmod) Just switch out the other cars crystals for anything different then whats on the new fixed one.

I've noticed that even when the 2 xmods are on different frequency they interfere somewhat.

Does anyone know if the distance from one frequency to another makes a difference?
Example: Would 12 interfere less with 1 than say 2?
I would assume so because there's a bigger difference in the frequency wave.

i'd say so, because i've raced them with 2 different frequencies before and the other person's car wouldn't pick up my steering, but he'd get my throttle.

Every so often, I use crystal 1 and crystal 2, and they interfered. I believe I used crystal 1 and 6 and they crossed a little. It should fix it, may be a little interfernce with each other though.

The xmods really don't get THAT much interference though, whereas my mini-z MR-01's stock crystals get TONS of interference.

use crystal 1 and 12. since their frequencies are wider apart they don't interfere with each other

By accident I had crystal 2 in my remote, and 3 in one of my Xmods.. without thinking I just turned them on and went to drive, and it worked very well as long as the antenna was aimed towards the chassis.. but it had to be just right.

I thought my truck was messed up until I realized what I did.

That sounds impossible there's no way you can get enough interference from one number to another to have it work unnoticeably well.

actually no
1-6 are the furthest apart as 7,8,9,10,11 and 12 are what they call "splits"
they are half way frequencies
so band 7 is is half way between 1 and 2
for best results use 1 and 6 or 7 and 12
