Default My New GTR

I finally got one and hated the rims and the way it sat on its chassis. So for an hour I worked on it and came up with this. And yes it is mounted on the chassis clips front and back so this is how the car now sits. Tell me what you think and I am not completely done with it yet. Need a new color to go on it. Any suggestions?

it looks smooth. how about putting the disc brake knucle-covers on it? seems like it's missing that touch.

I probably will but I want to decide what the final look is going to be and what upgrades it will have when it's all said and done.

The suspension kit with lowering and raising front/rear arms. Not rereleased yet. As far as GTR, I did the same for a while, but then put my alums on my other rides. RS's idea of having brakes on the rim itself isn't too bad.

I shaved the rear mount down until the wheels got even with the rear wheel wells and used the lowering kit to bring it lower in the front and rear and for the front I used the two medium mounts from the alloy chassis to bring the front clip up about a half an inch and shaved the sides of the mount so it would not interfere with the front suspension. Surprisingly that actually put the front wheels where you see them in the picture now.

It looks pretty agressive as it stands. I recommend purchasing black rims to complement the look, those chrome's don't do it justice.

Well, the motor will be a tamiya dash, a 2x2 or 2x3 fet stack, paint (color undecided) and rims and a conversion to alloy and liths. When the parts get here I will post pictures but am now working on an entry for this months comp. Just waiting on the body to arrive and this is a model body. Should be done by the end of next week(hopefully).

do you have any probs rubbing the battery tray on the ground?

whole chassis lower and body sits lower too, after lower its about 1.5mm but no rubbing on ground. XI does have it, its in suspention section and its called racing suspention, evo or street they're same.

I lowered the chassis first with the lowering kit and then lowered the body by shaving the rear mount support pillar and then raised the front clip and shaving the sides as not to interfere with the front suspension. I will post pictures of it over the weekend when I get my members garage pictures up.
