no that one isn't a hs55. THis one is.
http://cgi.ebay.ca/HITEC-HS-55-SUB-M...QQcmdZViewItem
Here is their website
http://www.hitecrcd.com/servos/show?name=HS-55
go to the bottom of the page and click on where to buy. Type in your zip code and you should get some stores near you.

Towerhobbies has some.

THe cheapest way to get a hs-55 is at your local hobby store.

What body will you be using for crawling? If it has a truck bed i would recommend the tamiya universal gearbox.

I would say no because i haven't seen any one use it. BUt it could work. If you want to take the risk you can. but i would go with a hs-55.

yep i posted both hs-55 servos. Before you buy online see if any of you local hobby stores has it. They are usually cheaper.

A tamiya gearbox has more torque but it is to big for a hummer and it is cheaper and easier to install but there are no tuts for it.

Good luck

don't double post either. Just click the edit button. It will help in the future.

$25 is pretty expensive for an HS-55.
if it was an HS-50 or HS-81 then i could understand but the 55 is the cheapest HItech servo.
i bought one from servo city and paid $9.99 and $3.00 for shipping.(looks like i bought the last one)
if your paying more then $5.00 for shipping on an item that weighs 8g and is the size of three quarters stacked then your getting ripped off.

Towerhobbies is great..........if you live in the US, otherwise you get completely ripped off for shipping to Canada (and likely anywhere else).

EDIT: Try greathobbies.com, located in Canada (PEI and Alberta, I believe)

make sure it's what your looking for.
just because it''s a servo doesnt mean that it would make a cood crawling powerplant.
there are servos made for speed and servos made for torque.
check the dimensions of it to make sure it will fit your application
you also have to be sure that the servo is adaptable for 360 degree rotation.

the manufacturer should have a homepage listing the specs of the servo, if not, google it.

@theoriganalRiD3R1967,
please do not bump other peoples threads.
it's rude and asking a question in someone elses thread is a form of hijacking.
everything you need to know about using the HS-55 in an Xmod can be found here.
