Exclamation Bronco's?

ok, well, as you all know, i have a beater box truck...

but i want to get a 1995 or 1996 ford bronco, in trade for it. this is not a for sale thread, but i want to know if anyone has had this style of bronco and is happy with it as a daily driver, not modified hugely, and if its good to drive around, for me, like back and forth to school, and just stuff like that. some pros and cons of current and previuos broncoo owners would be great, and also, how much would somebody pay for one. i blue booked one i am looking at, and it said 2900, but i want to get one for like 2000, or less, so pleeze help!

If your buying a Bronco, I highely doubt your worried about gas. If you want gas, get a small diesel car. Kicks the eco-*** out of hybrids like the prius, and cost less to maintain and repair for the most part..

Yeah i wouldnt worry about gas, i was looking at getting a c300 or even an older c230 kompressor from mercedes, then i priced up and was looking at some m3's even had my eye on an m5. but i had always loved land rovers, and i went down to the dealership and found a range that was well priced and well maintained, a 1 year lease return that had sat on the lot for 8 months, and had numerous price cuts. i went for it, and i tend not to worry about gas to much anymore...i knew what i got myself into when i bought supercharged...but its always great to be able to smoke your friends E500 and S600 (he sucks so bad at driving i can kill him...even though he should be wipping me with his weight to power ratio...)

no, i do not want to lose space, and im not really worried about gas saving, there is no way in hell i will ever buy a car, unless its a muscle car, and i hate hybrids, i think they are all pos's and a waste of metal, or fibergalss.

Lol, space? Then keep that POS box truck. Take a look into the Hybrid GMT-900 vehicles before you knock them. A 6L V8 getting around 20 mpg in the city is the future. Enough so, that both Chrysler LLC, and BMW are using the two-mode tranny that GM lead in the design.

It would be a step up from the box truck.

Besides the Maroon, doesn't look in all that bad shape. C4(?) auto, or a stick shift?

i am not sure waht type of trans, but it is an auto. i might not be getting this one, kinda looking for one with a 302, more dependable than the 351, im just a little more familiar with the 351 cuz thats wat the box truck has, want something a little different, so i gotta look around.

Why not just fix up the box truck, find some nice wheels (if possible), get some sweet paintjob on the box and basically pimp it out? I'd be proud to drive to school with one of those...

Keep the 351, torque is your friend. You'd regret going down to the 302. The auto in these is the C4 I believe. Good trucks, fun to have. A set of front lockers, and better tires, and you have a confident off-roader.

Don't waste your money on a Bronco, get something cheaper that's better on gas, oh, say, a Honda Civic.
