Nope, body and rims will be stock, that's the point of the build. Sleeper.

i want to get a stage two motor, it would have been awesome if they wouldh ave built stage 3 motors though.. with the turbo already on it.. and you wouldn't have to mod your car to use it.

Eh, it's fast enough as it is. My Micro-T is fast enough, and this was partially built to even be able to compete with a stock Micro-T..

Stage 2 is a drop in from Radio Shack, but you'll have to look online now, the Gen1's have been discontinued for over a year..

What do you mean, get everything out of it?

It's not really noticable in a stock car if you put bearings in, in terms of speed. But the motor will run cooler and the batteries will last longer per charge.

But in a modified car, you really notice the diffrence. The biggest reason people have bearings is becuase it's good in a modified car, and becuase it takes the wheel wobble out of the car...

Alluminum.. It will weigh more and slow it down. But in my car, the knuckles and drivetrain is alluminum for the durabilty, like handle the abuse the car will take..
But all I'm really worried about is my chassis cracking, snapping, or getting tweaked.

No problem..

Got my stuff on Thursday, Red shipped the stuff, so while I'm waiting on the chassis, I'm gonna fix the servo. Thing with the micro-T is the servo has to sit just right, or the horn won't go in the tie rod right, and it steers to the left.

So I have to fix that, then I'll get a video.. I also have to find my fuel tubing to put my antenna in.. Or find (steal) a antenna tube for the car, the current one is getting cut up!

I'll try to a video up tonight, but I'm not sure if I'll have time. No homework (yay, but I'm almost failing AP Stat) so I can ship azn's stuff, then get a video..

It's very load, doesn't sound like the bearings, but the gears are loud. Not sealable like the evo's, so not too much grease for me.. I have to get some Sulivan Products Dry-Ice to lube the gears at some point...

It's fast.. With hard slicks on wood floors, it spins the wheels if I floor it.. Thinig with the Micro-T is that it doesn't have much low end control, but lots of high end control... So you have to use a feather on the feathering of the throttle.. If it was a truck it would flip over.

Allright. When they video's up, I'm submitting this as a tutorial on converting to Micro-T Electronics, should have all the info you need... But I'm gonna arrange things into sections for the easy reading of all the noobs on here.

I'm having a few problems...

***Listens to "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger" by Daft Punk***

Anyways, the problems I'm having problems with the fallowing:
-- Car/Servo is pulling strongly to the left
-- Drive train is hella loud, needs lube
-- Car has too much power

Servo Problems:
With the micro-t, the servo uses a hex-type mounting for the horn. My servo saver is locked, but it still pulls strongly to the left. It's the servo, the rest of the drivetrain is fine...

To fix this, you need to make sure the servo horn is on the right more than the left. Makes sense in real life, in concept, no so much. I'm also locking the rear diff to help prevent this.

Steering is VERY touchy. The car is lighter than stock (I'll weight it at somepoint), and with Li-ions, it spins easily. I plan on using softer tires with (more) treads in the back, and (somewhat) harder tires up front.

Drivetrain Problems:

The only part of this car that is lubed is the bearings. I have to lube the diffs and the motor pinion. When I'm done with that, I might lock the rear diff, for reasons explained below.

Overpowered, Anyone?
Can I say this car is overpowered? The wheels spin on the floor inside if I floor it, so I'll need softer tires, but then I loose some handling. But overall, it feels faster than a stock car on Li-ions. I'm very happy with the speed.

Anyone have questions regarding a Micro-T Conversion? I'll be happy to answer them. I should have a video up by sunday, that's of course if I fix the steering (I'm lazy, got homework, need to color my hair...)..

***********************
Seriously, if you like the song "Stronger" by Kanye West, go listen to the original. It's by Daft Punk, it's called "Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger". The beats good, and I just love the song right now..

Video tomarow, it's dark outside...

I was driving it earlier... The batteries dump really hard when it takes off. Need to gear it down. Once up to speed, it runs strong, but I REALLY need some Li-Po's in this. It's really bad when it starts up, just the on/off/on/off thing...

Reminds me of a Nitro running rich and bogging...

Anyways, I have everything else sorted. The Hard Tread tires were too hard, it slid when I turned at speed. Sometimes it rolled, but most of the time, it just slid.

So I switched to Soft Tires and Hard (Blue) springs in the back, stock up front. Handles like a dream..

More info later, this is going to be turned into a tutorial thread at some point...

Depending on how good the XI Chassis fits this (should recieve it monday) I might switch to that and go Li-Po..

Guess the people only reply if they see pictures.. Dumb noobs don't see the coolness of it unless there are pictures..

The rims are temporary. Just needed something I could glue soft tires to. I'm thinking of keeping the silver 5-spokes. The looks pretty cool.. The camaro rims will go on a Camaro* at some point...

Video sunday at some point, if it doesn't rain.

Anyways back to the pictures, less watching Borat. Oh, and the bottom shot is for those that don't think I read anything, or if it is even my car:

*This project is no longer using the skyline body. The Skyline doesn't clear the chassis, so it's going on some other car... This car (unless I sell it) will eventually get Mustang Or Camaro wheels. Proably Mustang wheels..

he is right about the bearings i did the crast spin brush motor in my skyline and it melted the plastic one so if your planing on makin retarded amounts of power use bearings
