Hummer SUT in progress

i just started my SUT project yesterday and i just now got the back end off. my plans are to rebuild the rear end using parts from the f150 bed. after all the body work i will be repainting it the same maroon color it is now. the only thing i have been debating is whether or not to put the spare tire on the back.

heres what it used to look like



i'll try to keep pics updated when i can, any additional advise on what i should do with it is accepted.

oh yeah and i lost one of the chrome door handles so i was thinkin about shaving them all together...suggestions?

haha actually no i took the cheap way haha they are the tires that come in the rs lift kit i just cut the sidewall to fit and then turned them around to make the clean cut side out. i plan on gettin the superswampers from xmodsinternational before too long though (last time i tried to get something from that place they charged me for it but never sent it so i got my money back) i might have to try to get some off ebay if they dont work out again

Garsh, it seems to pretty to cut up. I think mercyless had/has (yeah, she's back) a SUT project going. Also, I think Ripper on R7R has an SUT.

oi, red i hope that aint yours becuse though i love ya like a brother from another mother, that's about the most cartoonish looking hummer i've seen.
if your going to go for a hummer truck then atleast try to mimic the h3T.
i see all of these sut's trying to be cool and they dont look anything like the actual hummer truck.
H3T!!!! look for it on google.
it looks nothing like these cheap assed chopped off h2's.

Its not mine, its rips, and if you did read all the posts (its tougher than it looks) you wouldn't have a life. Just keeping up with the appearance section is tough.

Anywho, IMO the H3T is awesome, but looks to much like a pickup truck. Thats not really how I like my hummers. BUT, the H2 SUT does look similar to all the ones I've seen...

that is a sweet lookin sut, idk about all that orange but it is a nice glossy paint-job, mine wasnt glossy at all since i painted it fast on a humid day, the next paint-job will be better though.

i think it looks more rugged than the suv version and will look cooler towin my vette on its trailer

remember the h3t is gonna be a minitruck the size of the h3 with the 5 cylinder engine, its no full-size

the h3 built on the Chevy colorado platform, so the h3t is a tiny pickup truck.
it still looks pimp though, cuz its a hummer

im gonna try to go for the whole bed but i have found that the taillights get in the way on the inner body for the tailgate, i still have to cut the bed out of the f150

ok i've started on the bed, i'll post pics of the progress later today

the taillights are beginning to be an issue though and i cant decide whether to keep them funtional and just have them stick out into the bed or go for the cleaner look and make them non-functional and take the light kit out (i had superglued them in so they wouldnt pop out of place when i hit bumps outside) any suggestions?
