Can Xmods vehicles itself grow...dead?

Hey,
i've been having some recent problems with my scion xmod. Whenever i play with it, i'll start driving it and then in the middle of nowhere, it'll just stop working.I mean like all the headlights will turn off and the car will stop moving. Then when I flip it over and give the battery compartment a little slap, all of a sudden it decides to start working again. It's not the distance range, because i'll sit directly next to it and it won't budge. It's not the batteries cause I'll recharge them and put them back in and the same stuff happens over and over. And now in the last week, it's gotten even WORSE. I'll turn on the car and the controller and the car itself will stay off(even if the car's switch is to"on".). Then, the matter of just picking it up will make it start working again. And when my hand heads to the floor to put it down, it'll turn off. Anyone know what's going on?!

maybe its you it dont want to be away from you lol. umm its possible that the switch is messed up orrr make sure the antena is screwed in good on the car and controller. and try it outside. if nothing works run it with out the body on it.

as far as the head lights going out and the car they are set so when the controller is off then they go off.

also run it without the light kit and have you ran it in any water at all or any liqied

I bet a battery wire is loose on the board. Thats a common problem for alot of xmods. If you keep moving the battery tray, sooner or later, the solder on the wire will come loose, and break off.

Check all the batt wires.

i know on the gen ones if you hit or bump then when the batt clips arnt on the batts will move just a little bit and it will stop, i dont know if the same goes for the evo, but that could be it to if not a conection is the probible cause

Just take the cover off the board and check all your connections.

i think you are right because i just looked at my xmod battery tray and it can slide around, which i dont think it was doing before. Cause you know when the controller isnt on and you turn on the xmod car only and the lights will flash. and now when i turn it on, the lights dont flash and when i slide around the battery tray it'll flash. any advice on what to do?

You have a loose battery wire. To fix it you have to take off the board cover and find which wire is loose, and then re-solder it.

Edit: Dont forget to take the batteries out before soldering!

yeah the same thing happen to my stang take the board off and you most likely have a loose wire

It's an easy repair, just make sure you dont solder the plastic around it >_<. Good luck.

sound slike a loose wire to me also my new xmod does that with steering lol it locks to one side and i slap it an the wheels jump straight

but yeah loose wire or batterys
