Was determined to Drift with RWD!!! now broken... Giving into that AWD fire!
Throw me into that AWD party I currently have a stock clean 370z, I smacked some blue masking tape on the back tires for some wheel spin, and could only get minimal drift After Drfiting in Forza3 so much ( Awesome game!) I tried using some techniques to use on the rc car... still... no use. Stuck with the "RWD is the only real way to drift!" motto in my head... I now gave in... It's not a real car... just buy the **** AWD upgrade kit... lol... I was so determined tooo :[ ______________ I am down with that, any tuning advice for a newby to the Xmod community, as well as an Xmod drifter? what should be done first? Woot. Another drifter. I agree w/ the motto, but these things can't do much at w/o AWD. I have a stock 370z too. And a Skyline on a stock Corvette Z06 chassis. I do some drifing in the Skyline since I got an AWD kit. Wish I had another. Not bad but I think if you really wanna do good drifting, we'll need much more than just the AWD and drift wheels.

I wanna drift so bad with my mustang but I bought the wrong AWD kit. (EVO Truck by accident. :X) So now I'm stuck with that and have no money left for a EVO car AWD kit. (Spending $40 on a Lancer Evo body this weekend)

Thanks everyone ,
I am really into the drifting scene, after getting hooked on initial D as a kid I've been waiting to get my hands on a RWD car... my 90 civic EX has kept me on time to everywhere i needa go. But it was my beater, and my stick n clutch work practicing really trying to get my TurboII already... I wanna make an FC conversion for Xmods one day. |

Here's my 2 cents. I have an Evolution Xmod, it's the longer chassis, I have the AWD kit and Drift wheels and a Stage 2 motor with the heat sink. It drifts quite well, It takes some time to learn to drive it, but it's by far the best way to enjoy Xmods at home. Some folks say you should put stiff springs on front and soft on the back.

on the diff you on one of the sides you should see 3 little knotches just inside the diff gear, just put a little superglue in each of them until the is "locked"
imo, i perfer to only lock the rear because it helps kick out the rear end better, but some people lock the front and rear

Since you're planning on drifting, don't worry about it, lock the rear diffs. I did mine permanently w/ some super glue. xD
