For you motor getting really hot it is some what common depending on how you dirve it. A good motor upgrade would be neo magnets, swap them out with your jold magnets in your motor can. It will give you lots of more torque.

or the stage 2 motor upgrade, which offers more rpm's and most importantly a set of different gears to choose from. Torque or top speed.

I love the atomic standard motor!

They are cheap (like $14 bucks or so) and definitely pretty fast.

The Titan and the F-150 have the exact same wheel base, you just need the correct front clip.
