Project: "Monster"
Well there is only one member of the forums who knows about this project, he will remain nameless for now (unless he would like to make it known), but other then him the plans have been shared only with my wife and my Pom-Chi named Proxy.
I am not going to explain the plans for the project, as I don't wish to deal with nay-sayers and those who would contest the probability of it being a success. But at the same time I don't mind sharing images of the progress with everyone. With that having been said, I will simply say that all things being perfect and with an MITesque state of optimism, once complete only the top 10% of this forums cars will be able to match it's performance. A large claim I know, but according to my calculations it is factual... Without further adieu, I present what I can only call at this time "the Monster"... For those who are already foaming at the mouth an flicking their Zippos in anticipation of the flames, bear in mind what you are seeing is simply a mock-up on a non rolling chassis; and yes it is modified. I cant show much else at this phase without explaining the project completely... I will update this thread as I continue...

All I'm thinking right now is either brushless, or larger scale motor. Thats one tall motor mount you've got going so....
Moved to projects section.... Later, RedSXmodder |

im guessing a brushless, guessing by the fact its a roller atm, and that the heatsink is much higher.

Well, since there has been a favorable response to the project, I suppose I owe it to everyone to keep this updated regularly. I am done mocking up the drive line for the most part, and am waiting for an integral part of he project to arrive from my accomplice.
As Morton mentioned (not that anyone actually expected otherwise) this is going to take a good amount of time to complete. There is a lot of hills to climb in order to get it to perform properly and I am in the process of engineering a way to overcome these obstacles. Thanks for the attention, and keep your eyes peeled for updates.

No, the images above are of the rear section of the rolling chassis. In fact, at the moment, there is nothing at all on the front half of the chassis. But yes, those wheels are from my old Civic. They are spares.

Nah, the image is close up to show the motor mount so the details of the chassis itself are vague. Easiest clue would be the mounting position of the shocks. On the front end they are symmetrical, on the rear end the passenger side is at a shallower angel allowing it to mount further on the drivers side, as shown in the images above.
