RCU. This is a forum dedicated to larger scale RC cars. They'll be able to help you in the touring sections.
RC-Drift. A forum dedicated to RC Drifting. DRC. Another forum dedicated to RC Drifting. You could also try some manufacture's websites, especially those who manufacture RC Touring/Drifting machines. They're would be a large memberbase there that would be willing to help you. Try: HPI, Traxxas and other large manufactures such as those to get you up and on your feet. Cheers, Kyle.

I'm not a fan of drift cars. get a regular fast 4WD RC car and put on drift tires if you want. but at the end of the day, you want cones and a buddy to make it worthwhile. superstreet 1/10 RSX FTW

Superstreet 1:10 RSX? Wow... Stop... Superstreet is a magazine, not a company like Team Associated, Team Losi, Traxxas, Tamiya, etc. who designs and manufacturers R/C kits and parts. Superstreet gives you paper with words and pictures... An RSX is a body... I have a Skyline and a Celica... Since I have a Skyline body, I MUST be faster than the RSX, right? Wrong... Well, hopefully I'm still faster, but still, its just a plastic (actually, lexan) 'shell' that makes your chassis look nice. Doesn't matter if you have an RSX or a Lambo... Plus, RSXes are FWD, so anyone drifting with a FWD car body looks like a nub.
Go on DRCC and buy a Tamiya TT-01D chassis. Its drift-ready, and theres LOTS of GPM goodness to go around PS, I'm XSNRGE on DRCC, and REDisFASTER on RCU. Last edited by REDisFASTER; 02-20-2008 at 08:48 PM.. |

And Red is absulotly right, Its only a body, Like he said, Just casue its a skyline, doesnt mean he's fast? I mean, If I had a supra, Do I get a 2jz-Gte motor too? Haha |

silly fool. I will spin you out and win the race just like I do to my friends 25MPH ebay car. heavy RWD RC RSX FTW. come out after the rain and its great drifting if you know what youre doing since theres no brakes just motor backwind. |

Spade, is that the best you've got? You can't even take the body off and service it... Silly boy, walmart toys are for boys
See that little orange box on the chassis of the car? How much do you want to bet that it costs more than your WHOLE Radioshack car? The motor... Well, its almost as big as an XMOD, and it they usually cost MORE than an XMOD. Don't even get me started on a set of wheels, tires and inserts... |

I know man, I've had 2 nitro as well as 2 good ebay 100$ ones that broke. just need a new steering servo so I can make one good out of the ebay electric ones since my second one ran into a puddle then later blew up cause I left the battery in. its just that there is really never a time where I dont have a working RSX. plus when new it looks better than any flimsy lexan body. thats my road car, my blue track one is stripped of unnecesities, like stickers, wing and rear bumper diffuser or whatever it is. it takes longer to get "under the shell" but small problems can be fixed.
the one in the pic is near 2 years old and under constant abuse getting twigs, dirt and occasionaly dog droppings while going thru my deadly sidewalk and road course. its been actually switched off while driving and crashed directly into a light pole. it had a rat in it that bit the antenna and 4 nonworking cars were right near by. its a beast. but the gears are getting old so I might swap the motor from my 20MPH mustang. even more beastlier Last edited by Spade; 02-20-2008 at 10:08 PM.. |

Dude, I run NiMh Venom packs, and it hits about 45mph, an xmod running an X2LSP on 4S lipo wouldn't even flip this car. I've tried so many different ways, it just has a lot of traction...plus it would beat your xmod's TR also. Quote:
That black thin g that runs thru the car, is a case for the belt, since it's an open chassis...rocks and dirt...not so good...gets dirty every run. Just realized you were talking to him LOL. Well, he'd have to somehow lift my car up, and flip it, it ain't going to flip on it's own, you know, 1/10th -18/ths just don't flip THAT easy..unless you have a truck... LOL. I am too a bit.. |
