Default Paint Selection for my truck, I need help!

K guys, I need to find either a flat colour, or metallic color of paint for my truck. For those who don't know, it's a 1994 Mazda B3000 4X4, and I need people to just riffle off NICE colors, notice the NICE, and avoid the ones that are base coat / clear coat as I'm doing it myself and thats way to expensive to begin with. Post pictures of vehicles of the color you are talking about, and don't waste my time, i'm in a rush to choose it so this is a serious thread. tick me off and i'll figure out some way to haunt you for the rest of your life lmao jk. but seriously, nice paints, hopefully experienced people here, and if any noobs say something stupid or irrelevant i'll report your posts.

Have fun guys, remember... PICTURES HELP!

get a couple gallons of good old rustolium paint and paint your truck with it but make sure you thin it a little bit. I saw this done in JP jeep magazine but dont have the issue anymore. It is a good paint and if you get a scratch on it you can get the same in a spray can for touch ups. If you have an air compressor and spray painter you are good to go.

don't go with a flat color. it's extremely hard to make look good, and keep clean, unless professionally done (and will need a flat clear coat to be even).

there are a couple 240sx's here in Duluth with flat black rattle can jobs, and they look TERRIBLE!

Adamcrawls, I don't want to bash you or anything, but did you not read the VERY FIRST LINE of what I said? Candy apple is like 4 different layers of base coat then clear coat, which goes along with other stuff i said.

And Numbchux, I'm not doing a rattle cans lol. I'm doing it with a spray gun. and i'm not going black. flat colors are easy to paint lol

obviously rattle can jobs would be exceptionally crappy.

but I've only ever seen ONE flat paint job that looked clean, and it was an $8k professional job, involving about 3 coats of satin clear coat (no, it's not real flat....).

I've seen numerous airbrushed flat color paint jobs, and none of them were clean. best was the olive drab yota pickup....
