...a recoat will def. clear those things up, the worst are bubbles, if i see them immidatley after the first coat, i blow on the paint lightly so the paint spreads away from the bubbles, but you gotta do it before it dries

good tip, the paint more so runs than anything else, but that could be because the stuff is like 8 years old, but new can soon, i hope

ooohh, runny paint, that might interfere with your hood if you want it to open, could act like glue, be careful, good luck

it doesnt interfere with the hood but if it stuck it wouldnt be a bad thing, the paint dries quick, but still runs, hood is drying now, pic soon

I used to suck at spray painting, every time it would run or not go where I wanted to so got spots that weren't painted but seems now I have like mastered the spray can. Just painted a body i'm making on sunday after 3 or 4 coats don't remember that was 3 days ago lol. Any way when dried not a run not a spot missed and was layed on totally even all round, just perfect.

Yea basically, this paint that I got is actually intended for sport utility & truck touch up. I thought about using a air brush for painting here on out but I don't really have any paints for the air brush and my friend has one and said that the paint is rather quite expensive for what you get, its just a little bottle for like $5 prob. like an oz or 2

-im trying to get a air brush set but its not cheap, and paint is about 2.50 for 1/4 oz of enamel but if you use the paint thiner the way it should be used, it can last a while

My mom had that hood style on her 85' Mustang. I've seen pictures of it and it looked pretty good (white body with the flat black GT stripe). I'd say go for it, it'd look cool.

i have to agree, don't toa a full stripe, the...85?...one you showed would look really good against the blue, you'll probably go with black right?, are thinking of flat or gloss, gloss might go better IMO for this type of application

I'd go with the '85 style stripe. It would look cleaner on the whole car.

Get a waterslide decal with the word "GT" on it for the hood and it'd look really scale.

I thought it would look good and it does.
