Default antenna wire question

If i put heat shrink around my antenna wire on my car and if i touch it with a power source will it fry the inductors or will it protect the wire? also will it affect my range?

Heat shrink will not affect your range and it will protect it from shorting out your inductors (not sure why you want to touch your antennae to power but i as well sometimes feel the urge to touch things)
