I'd like to ask- does tang and vette have solid bodies? GTR does and while I actually like the idea of lack of body kits, I'm sure a good deal of you will start to get ****ed at RS for doing this. So what are your thoughts on lack of cosmetic mods for the new line?

i dont think it's that big of a deal, especially since most of the body kits for older cars were just ugly like the vette bk, certain parts of the titan bk, the scion bk (well, the scion in general is ugly IMO). this way it will be harder to make the vette and GT-R look bad with a rediculous BK.

I think they're doing this (besides saving production costs) because of the current lineup- classy cars that you'd NEVER see with a BK. At least I hope they put that much thought into it...

just green chassis parts they should make blue, black ,and red and sell it as a kit.Also different knuckles so you can adjust the caster like the mini z.

Mini-Z are 150+ RCs and these are 30-50$. You'll never get the same quality and variety ina million years.

If it'll cost even more than the already overpriced RS parts, then I'd have to say I wouldn't.

In all honesty I'm only embracing the new line because full upgrades for about 2 cars ran me around $20 total last year. Not 20 per little metal/plastic piece, but for 2 full sets. Thats also the reason I got the new R35 and will probably gen another new starter once another car I like shows up.

Their regular prices were and are ridiculous and sadly you can only really score the outcast starters on clerance (like the Evo trucks). As far as parts go, its clerance or nothing IMO.

If we're talking aluminum aftermarkets, then I wouldn't mind paying half what RS charges for 2x better parts.

If xmods are so bad why would you buy one.The stage 2 motor kit is 20.00 dollars.I don't think thats a bad price for what they give you.Only thing that makes the xmods not so great is the electronics.I reather spent 20.00 dollars more and had them put atleast a AM radio in it.But reather me crying about it im going to put the mini z board in it.Because i realy don't like the MA-010 set up so i'll put my money into the evo.

Remember, Xmods wern't made for you bosco, it was made for an audience of about 8-12 year olds. Not people who are extremely into hobby grade and want to beat out every other 1:28 on the street. Also, if you want those things, just modify it. A bit of styrene, putty, or some other things and quite the imagination.

Theres alot of guys that like the xmod better then the ma-010.I look at it this way i paid 49.00 for a chassis that is a better set up then a ma-010.Only thing that breaks on the evo are the knuckles nobody knows about the new ones yet.So i have to buy a mini z board/iwaver, AWD & bearings.I buy a ma-010 i need Blue & gray chassis, F&R knuckles, bearings, F & R cvd. Also fix the stearing with a better servo saver.Plus motor cause it's slow.

Do Xmods have far lower limitations than Kyoshos in terms of stock upgrade parts? And are Kyoshos not made with much, much better quality?

Not even because of the price, but I personally hardly play with these. I simply enjoy having a licenced RC that I can tweak now and then and that its cheap enough not to really care about in terms of investment.

What gets me is alot of guys say how much xmods suck.For 49.00 i think it's a good car for the price.But the MA-010 is not worth 150.00 out of box.Because after you pay 150.00 Then you have to buy a new chassis and all the other stuff your over 200.00.xmod will cost under 100.00

I don't think anyone says that XMs suck fir $50 RCs. They suck in comparison with other available RCs of the same size and type, but they're great for their price. Not to mention that other brands have MUCH better body selections and don't try to rip you off with buying starters to get new models like RS does.

you only have to call radioshacks 1-800 number and order a body.kyosho is always going to have more bodies thats there company rc.Radio shack is just a electronics store.
