actually, lexan will be more aerodynamic because people generally put fewer details and shallower vents into the lexan(they really can't put much detail in anyways), allowing air to move more freely around it.
and with lexan, there are no gaps in the bodyshell to disrupt airflow and cause turbulence-induced drag
