Default Bullet's Losi MRC

Well I got this from dreamingISdrifting and I figured I'd go ahead and start a thread about it.
Right now I'm waiting till tomorrow at the local comp to see if we have enough people/rigs to run a 1.9 class. If so it will become a comp crawler. I like the challenge that the 1.9 class brings to the table over the 2.2 class. If there isn't enough people, I will probably look into a 2.2 rig and maybe make this a scaler. That's just talk for now though.

Here are some pictures. All I've done so far is place the battery over the servo in the front. (Not shown in pics). I'll probably lower the body a bit soon.

Updates will come as I make progress or decide to take pictures of the beast.

Needs more articulation.

Nice score. I hope the 1.9 class works out for you.

Cheers,
Kyle

There is a difference. 1.9 uses smaller tires and wheels and is limited to 4wd, one axle steering and you can have no dig.

Where as in 2.2 you have larger tires/wheels, you can have a dig and I believe they allow 4 wheel steering maybe.
A dig basically disengages the front or rear axle to allow only one pair of wheels to turn. This can help you get through tight spaces.

Thanks Donzi.
I was actually planning to maybe limit the articulation because it can cause it to roll.

If I remember right, 2010 USRCCA rules for Class 2 (2.2), vehicles are limited to 2-wheel steering only, while Class 3 (1.9) is limited to 2-wheel steering on the front axle only. Class 1 (Supers) on the other hand allow for 4-wheel steering. Can't seem to find the rules on RCC or USRCCA's site...?

Looks very nice! I think you're just jealous of mine and Mycro's Honchos so you want a scaler too Just kidding looks pretty cool, but I'm happy with my micro scaler and the Honcho. I personally would tell you to stick to 1.9's but that's just my own personal likes. I find the 2.2 classes get more competitive and less for the fun of the hobby.

It's won't be a scaler after watching those 2.2 rigs today. I am confident I can build a 1.9 that will follow most of there lines, besides the really tricky stuff.
Dang those 2.2's are sweet though. I got to drive a Bully around and I owned. It's just a lot of money to invest into 2.2...

After the comp was done I ran the easier 2.2 course and did okay. If my COG wasn't as high and If I cut my foams a bit I would have done better. It was like 105 heat index though, with 98% humidity. With it raining yesterday, the rocks sure were slick!
But somewhere in running the 2.2 course or just basing on some other rocks, I'm pretty sure my front locker is done for. I can spin my left front wheel with out the right wheel spinning. Going to upgrade to front/rear metal lockers and while I'm at it upgrade to high clearance links. While it's down though, I'm going to trim my foams. I need the tires to flex more.

I didn't take any pics of the Comp.. but I can post some once they post them up on the other forums.

Btw... 2.2 rigs are heavy compared to this MRC... and dang some of them have some wheel speed!

This pic is when I went to the creek by my house after the comp. I would of took pics, but I was made about pretty much just having 3wd

Integy isn;t all too bad, but still kinda bad... sure they give you a nice bling but they are prone to bending, Usually its because their parts break when put upon leverage...so if its thick and robust enough it should be fine, just my 2 cents

Well I try to angle myself right so I don't hit stuff when I'm climbing. I'm sure if I ever comp crawl this I'm going to have to upgrade again.

IDk.. at the Comp saturday, like 3 people broke driveshafts. A lot of roll overs. It was awesome to watch when they got them flipped back over just using some throttle. The wheels would hook up, and one of the truck flew like 5 feet lol!
