Default cell phone leds...

I had my old cell phone so i decided to destroy it and well i i got the idea of using the leds it has to light up the screen fopr a light bar. But for the life of me i cannot get them to work they worked in the phone before i took it apart. Anyone know enough to tell me why? (this is the second set of these lights i tried neither worked)

The LED's on the cell phones use really small amounts of power, so you could have already blown them. I know this, because I have taken apart a few old and new cell phones myself.

if this isn't the case makesure your using enough juice, to est i'd just use a cuople (2) cells, end to end (in series) 3v, but make sure your connecting with polarities in mind + to + lead, and - to - lead, hope this helps...

Im with Snowboi. I think you blew the LEDs. What did you test it with exactly? I cant imagine it taking anything more than 5 volts for very long.
