1st Project: Decals/Graphics

Well I got my XMod yesterday, and I found sheets of vinyl in the graphics/decals set I got. I had the shocking idea to cut 'em out into graphics.... but i had NOO idea what to do.

Where do i turn? Videogames, baby! I remembered that "Need for Speed: Underground 2" has an Infinite G35 in the game. So i replicated best i could. and added the decals/graphics so i could see what it would look like.

well thats the look I'm going for. Red eyelids on the headlights to make it look a bit meaner and the 3 stripes going down the side. Whaddya guys think? any constructive critism would be greatly appreciated. im new to this so be easy :P

ok ill admit... i didnt do that first side very well... im happy with the eyelids but the graphics could be better. tahts why i only did that one side so far. :P

eyelids would be nice, i personally dont like graphics to much, but need for speed underground 2 online was awesome i use to play that like religously

well i put the eyelids on, they arent quite the right shade of red. but they look good anyway.

i have half of the graphics on the doors so far. I will get pics up soon.

*If the graphics on the door dont work out. How would racing stripes look on the G35?

If you get it to work out then that G35 will look sweet. The graphic is simple but it makes the car look so much nicer. I'm wishing you luck with that. Post pics ASAP! The eyelids look alright, but I've never been a huge fan of them. Never seen them on an Xmod though.

If the graphics don't work out, racing stripes might look alright. I'd try to stick to the gray/white if you did the racing stripes. Pick up some pinstriping tape and try out a few different stripe designs. That stuff works and looks great, and comes off so easily. You can get a roll of it at Autozone or another autoparts store.

bump for an update on pictures

i got this done but i couldnt get a chance to get the pics on. i know the mirrors fell off... i got replacements anyhow.

eye lids need to be a bit darker for sure
the lines look alright but you should try and use tape to tape off each section so you get straight lines..
but just keep up the good work

Lol that's sooo funny.. I just put NFS2 in and looked what i could do with my Mustang and Skyline....I have to play the first NFS for ideas on my RSX..

Anyone have any idea what game the '04 mustang is on? I know the Cobra R is on GT4, but all you can do is put rims on it on there. I wanna see what different paint colors would look like on mine. I either wanna do a two tone silver and black, or paint it bright yellow and put some sort of black stripe down the side. Any other ideas?
