No matter how you look at it here, he really doesn't have more torque than you.

Your car puts down 153 torque. The GSR engine of that generation puts down 117. In the case of a motor swap, even the "mighty" type R engine only puts down 130 torque. Type-s motor from an rsx is 140 torque. Are you sure hes not just telling you that to make himself feel better? lol

I can't even think of a 4 cylinder honda engine that makes a significant amount more torque than your car.

His is a JDM H22.. i'm assuming from a prelude. The s2k puts down power, in the honda world of course! But in certain cases, it would take me a bit to catch up. Tbh, i'd say we'd be about even. The last owner of his put in a stage 4 racing clutch............ lmao.

The prelude was a prototype. I know turns would murder that swap :P

Yeah, the H22 has 3 more torque than your car. You won't even notice that.

Racing clutches don't make your car faster. They allow you to put down power. Since your cars clutch is made for the application and your at stock power, its probably capable of putting down your cars power, so no real difference there either.

and well, you have drivetrain advantage. rwd is faster in a straight line from a dig. race him from a standing start, and you'd win assuming both of you have the same level of driving skill

Eh I'm not a big believe in driver skill sometimes. I mean it matters but in the big picture of cars that are not professionally driven in particular classes, its mostly the car. When you look at a 15 second car vs. a 13 second car, it would have to be a huge difference in driver skill for the 15 second car to win. Perhaps like someone who recently learned how to drive stick vs an experienced manual driver.

Oh don't defend the Teg, that's just silly. What he is saying you have two drivers with the same skill level, or the same driver in each car, the S2k will be a faster car around a track. If you're drag racing a S2000 you're missing the point of what the car is made for.

S2000 > Teg
RWD > FWD
Purpose built coupe > Econobox

Did you open the rad. with the vehicle running? Or just really high pressure build up?

Looks like you just took the cap off with the vehicle running.

Oh, and a new rad. eh? Mind if I ask what one you replaced the stock one with?

Blade.

Lol, letting out pressure and air bubbles.
Ehh, another stock one. I just wanted the car running, didn't have time to worry about performance mods lol. It was over heating and spewing out anti freeze.

You have a good eye for perspective. Kind of like Tex does, natural photographic abilities.

Dooooon't open up a rad if it's overheating. Allows the coolant to boil (since it is no longer under pressure) and reduces the cooling abilities. Pressure release is what the over flow tank is for.

To bleed air out open the cap while cold, start and let idle. Let it warm up to running temp, when the thermostat opens you'll see the coolant level drop rapidly, and that's when you top if off and let it run for a while longer.

But, you're on the right track as far as what to buy and what to get done.

No, but really, the S2k is nearly automotive perfection. It has a no comprimise intent in it's design and is a proper little sports car.

Integras are little econo boxes that were then made quick. It's full of compromise. And FWD.

Take them to a road course, embarrass him. Screw the silly street race cred, you have the better car.
I have to disagree here. A convertible in itself on a sportscar is a compromise in the functionality. Because of the additional structural support that must be added to the chassis to make up for the lack of a top hard structure, as well as the weight increase due to that. I can cite examples of performance loss through convertible. Unless you mean that the purpose is to be a fun little convertible, it does succeed at that.
