If this is your first bodywork project, here is some advice.

Use milliput or tamiya two part putties, don't go testors....it's crap. Also pic up some Bondo Spot hole filler, it will save your butt. Take your time. Apply and shape the putty and allow it to dry overnight before sanding.

Good luck

I second this. Testors is utter crap. Breaks off and the only way for it to really be strengthened is by using CA glue. Good luck with the project!

for the lenses, look inside the body. you'll notice that there is melted plastic where the lenses are (two per). you're to cut this melted plastic off so that the lenses slide out (theyre basically pegs that were melted to stay put).

good luck with this project!

Default Update

sorry its been a while had some school revision to do at least that over with

finished sanding down the body and have repainted the windows.
Spoiler is finished and painted
wheels are painted too so thats most of that done

a few problems....
when i painted the windows the paint kinda found a way through the masking tape what can i do to stop this?

it will be a different colour to the amuse carbon R but i am going to try and get the body work the same... emphasis on try

my closest HS is hobbycraft and it sucks,

i cannot find the putty that has been recomended so i will have to ask my dad if he can take me before i take my work experience to france

pics up later

thanks C&Cs welcome

you gotta just press down the edges of your masking really hard before you paint

on the spoiler you should look for either a WRX STi body kit spoiler or a Lancer Spoiler from the body kit but get to to be lower to the body because it sits really high. but this project look super neat-0 hope to see some cool updates soon

Default Update pics

well i got some pictures taken on my camera here they are :

the spoiler with custom mounts.

the side view of the car. not much paint slip this side

the paint this side slipped like crazy. when i can get some more paint i will sort it out...

the wheels... paint is a little thick gotta do some sanding on these.

was thinking of this paint:
a candy apple green??

with a few different stripes and pinstripes

or i could go white ??
what do you think i should do ??
C&Cs welcome
