Default painting rims

would it be best if i sanded rims before i paint them or just paint?

It better if you sand them down first and primer them and last paint them for best resuts.

I just paint it, saves me the effort and it works just fine.

For wheels, you can get away with out sanding it. Never hurts though.

dont primer. its just one extra coat of paint you dont need to make these small objects thicker than they need to be.

on chrome/glossy wheels, you will need to sand. on any other, its not needed, but as tex said, never hurts.
