i thought about that a long time ago. and i started making one out of spare scrap aluminum i had and tig welding it together. but in the long run it didnt turn out how i wanted, and it was to hard to get teh cars in and out because they dont roll that freely with the motors and all.
So im just going to stick with the one trailer i have. Besides you'd never have a rally car and a track car at the same event anyways lol. |

well, i re-drew my chassis to scale by hand, and found that you'll need AAA size lith-ions. the chassis doesn't fit the AA lith-Ions. maybe that's good since the chassis is less centered on power and more on control.
doing a 2s2p AAA lith ion setup would be the way to do lithium power. just telling you so you don't buy liths that can't be used. anyways, can't wait to see the progress. i'll probably make a Gymkhana twin with my eclipse body.

i believe so. JDR used to make a AAA lith pack that would fit in the stock battery tray. i think Atomicmods still caries single AAA cells (people just solder them together. it's not that hard really as long as you use the 2 second rule : when you put your soldering iron on, use a one-two count and lift youriron away or you'll damage the thing you're soldering)

hmm seems sketchy...
but some food for thought. AAA liths are far and few. Why not build your chassis to meet the demands of the market? forcing people to run hard to find batterys is going to kill your sales. where if you let them run AA's theres more people that will buy them... isnt the goal sell more make more? Id be making them available to everyone, not just a select few that have the hard to find battery set ups. I wont be running AA nor AAA, ill be running the flat pack Lithium Polys. Longer run times, better batterys, and keep more weight lower to the ground. |

well, AAA isn't real hard to find. just go to atomicmods and get some from the battery section
and people can still use NiMH on this. more people use NiMH than Li-ion or Li-poly.

hmm guess there is quite a few ive just never seen anyone run them. I ordered a set of flat lith polys though. will they still fit? i really dont feel like trying to sell them and switch to AAA.

December is going to be here before i know it, and i need to get this ready! My order should be shipping tomorrow, or friday. So expect a rather large update friday afternoon at latest! ehh 12 bucks for batterys. plus shipping is probably atleast 5 so thats 17. then i gotta do a bunch of finding wires and connections and soldiering. plus they are only ions. i can get polys for less than that ready to rip but thanks for the link!
