Default Project 1927 Essex

I'm out here in Kansas visiting family and my cousin took me up to the local service center and i talked to one of the mechanics asking if he knew where i can pick up a classic. Told me walk outside and I found an old '27 essex shell. Got it for $150.

My cousin has a bare 4 bolt main 350 block i could get to build or a complete 4 bolt main 350, so i'm set on an engine.

I need some advice though. My main concern on this is building a chassis. My cousin said he can help me(he's very sharp), but i need advice on front suspension and building it overall. Plans and such of ones would be great, as this is the first chassis me and him have ever built from scratch. I don't have a camera anymore, so I can only post pics whenI get ahold of one.

Thanks for looking!

EDIT: For some reason I uploaded 3 of the same pics. I fixed it now:]

Thats a slick looking car. I hope ours can turn out as good as that one lol. It's going to be a loooong project. I got to figure out how to get it back to California too.

search for street rod chassis frames. People run pretty much run what ever suspension they feel like it from corvette to mustang. Finding a diagram for the actual Essex is gonna be tuff. It will end up being a custom fab job.

Well, yea I know it'll be a custom fab, we just don't really have an idea of where to start. I don't mind building a custom chassis.
