Burnt resistor question

I was installing some bearings into my gen1 xmod, when I let the antena wire touch the battery termenal.......and then u can guess what happend......yep! Alot of smoke,so I took it apart and all thatwas left is this.......



Now I was wondering if it would hurt any thing to just solder the two little connecter things straight to each other, or if there is any other alternatives
