GPM Part issues
I received a set of GPM parts tonight and mounted them.
The (tinyrc sheilded)bearings were a bit tight to mount but went on. The front (gearbox) has the holes for the suspension pivot points too small for the stock suspension arms. I have not tried the rear suspension/gearbox yet. I have to fond out the right drill bit size to open the holes up a bit. I did not but the metal arms yet, and they may come with pivot pins that are readily fitted.

New Project
After I straighten out the GPM issues, I will get back to working on my wheels... But then I have two (Choppers) out of commission.

Interesting cut you have on those wheels. what did you cut them with? Do you have any more info on that bike? Looks interesting. I would like to see the internals.

Wheels and bike
I like the design of the bike, but the wheels took my eyes with it.
I carefully drilled out the core and the shaved out the ribbing on a pair of XMOD rims, then slipped them together. They measure perfectly. A Caliper that I borrowed says that the outside diameter of the RS rim is 19.9 mm and the inside diameter of the Chopper rim is 19.6 mm. A pretty snug fit. They mount very nice on the vehicles but need a still spring rate to keep them off the body. The chopper is at ToysRUs. http://www3.toysrus.com/superslicks/...m?carmodel=occ

I really like those wheels! How much do the choppers run you? Also, you realize that you can't run AWD with it either, right? I love RWD, and my xmod is staying RWD (I did AWD, and it's fun, but I like a challenge driving with my brushless). Right now, I'm using Mini-Z rear wheels, which are 11mm wide as opposed to the stock 9mm wide wheel, and they have a ton of tire options. Right now, I'm using a fairly sticky set of 20s (kyosho actually calls them 40s, but everywhere I look they're rated 20 less than what kyosho rates them). The adapter setup I did for it was pretty straightforward and required the sacrifice of 2 Skyline wheels. Those skinnies are really cool too. Di you just take down the width but leave the backspacing? If you machined down the backspacing, I'd think you'd run into problems with it being loose. Here's pics of my little setup:
Mmmmmmm, meaty:

Drilling out the holes in the GPM front gear box.
In a normal drill bit kit, there is a 1/16 then 5/64th bits, etc
However, the stud on the front "A" arm is just in between them in size. I did not want to put the 1/16 bit in there and wiggle (ream) it, so I put the 5/64th bit in there and shaved out the hole. It is a slight wiggle, but under spring tension, you do not see it. Just drill carefully. Now the spring and "A" arm works fine... :P

Wheels and bike
Yeah, I agree with you, I am just using it for show.
They do run well and make the vehicle run very straight... Other than that, I working on a new CF Chassis design to submit to a NY shop. I need about 6 copies of it since I cannot get the same one from tiny rc anymore, if it does not cost an arm and a leg... http://jpringlephoto.com/XMOD/pic/CF07.jpg

If there are more to be made...
Yeah, I asked in an email but they did not address the issue.
I take it that they may not see the point since they are pretty pricey. Another site promised them from October but has not produced it yet.

I kind of like the chassis from RC Butlers. It too, is pricey.

A full stage.
A friend of mine works on Broadway and we tried to race on the stage tonight.
It was the first time, I actually let the car run out. The car ran so fast, that I had about two seconds of full speed and the rest brake... The car flew off the stage a few times into the second row. I broke a few mirrors and a rear foil. My Vette broke the front right drive cup. but still ran. I realized that my Corvette wants to have aluminum rims on it, bc the car actually sheared the plastic vette inner (mount hole). Next time I will try in a larger place. These are the three Hot Lithium CF chassis cars I have... http://jpringlephoto.com/XMOD/pic/_U7T1474.jpg http://jpringlephoto.com/XMOD/pic/_U7T1470.jpg http://jpringlephoto.com/XMOD/pic/_U7T1378.jpg I purchased more Lith for my other 6 cars. I have to get wire too for it.

Staring at this vette
I have had my eye on this body for a long time.
I am drawing inspiration from the Pro Stock arena... http://jpringlephoto.com/XMOD/pgs/New%20Projects.htm Along with my extra GMP parts, I should buy a slate of CF and make a chassis, since the plastic chassis is a flat plate too... :P[/code]
