Will this RadioShack wire do any damage to my Xmods?
I just bought this wire:
http://www.radioshack.com/product/in...entPage=search And I found out this is solid wire. Will this do any damage to my Xmods (Evo, Scion tC) It's 18 AWG (duh) and it is rated to 80 degrees Celcius. Also, it is rated to handle up to 300 Volts. It's copper wire. Will this do any damage to my Xmods? I only plan on using this to connect the battery holder to the board.

I wouldn't recommend it, use it for no drill parts.(gen1)
For 18g wire upgrade I got 75 feet of hookup wires(red green and black) thats thin, about 30 strands, and works fine.... It will be very stiff...I wouldn't recommend it.. |

I don't mind if it's stiff... It's just I don't want it to destroy my Xmods. And I already paid for it...
What do you mean by "no drill parts"?

you could put 10 awg solid on ur car if you wanted it, it wouldn't hurt anything...but why would you want to put solid wire? it's going to be stiff as hell.

your going to have trouble keeping it soldered to any thing, when the chassis flexes it will just pop apart. That is if you can eve solder it, Solid wire is for A/C house wiring.

It was an accident... My dad got a RadioShack gift card and I found 18 AWG hookup wire at a RadioShack... Now it's opened. Do you think I could return it?

depends on your rs.
I bought rechargable batteries that went bad in 2 weeks. I returned them for a new set and they didnt even ask for a receipt. and they let me keep the old ones(they only last 5 mins) I know they did this because they were too lazy to recycle them though

RS was being a beach when I tried to return my soldering iron. The guy is like we need the original packaging. on the receipt it says to get a full refund you need the Item purchased and the receipt. I told him that and he's like well ok.

Plus after a while of bending, they tend to just rip apart. I'd ite the bullet and just grab the wire I told you about, it's 8 bucks. |
